150th Anniversary Mass

We were delighted to receive some fantastic photos captured by James School Pix of our 150th Anniversary Mass. Some great photos to add to our archives.🎞️

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to

everyone who contributed to making our

Anniversary Mass such a special and memorable

occasion. Our gratitude goes to all the staff of

the school and, to our wonderful pupils whose

reverence, participation, and joy enriched the

celebration so greatly.

We are very grateful to Shauna Brookman, the

parish choir and musicians, and to Portglenone

Comhaltas, whose beautiful music enhanced

both the Mass and the celebrations afterwards in

the school.

A special word of thanks to Father Rooney for his

meticulous preparation for the Mass and for his

continued help, guidance, and support for our

school. We are also deeply thankful to Bishop

McGuckian for celebrating such a beautiful Mass, and to Father McCann and Father Cushnahan for concelebrating with him on this important occasion.

We hope everyone enjoyed taking time to look

through the old photographs from across the

decades. Sincere thanks to Mrs Goldring and Mrs Clarke for the tremendous work they put into preparing the photographic displays so

beautifully, allowing us to reflect with pride on

our school’s rich history.

We were delighted to have our new statue of

Mary blessed by Bishop McGuckian as part of the Mass. It now takes pride of place in the grotto of our new anniversary garden, serving as a lasting reminder of this special occasion.

Thank you all for helping to make this

anniversary celebration such a meaningful and

joyful occasion for our entire school community.
