A Visit from the Fire Service

23 Mar 2018

Today a fireman came to visit our class. His name was fireman Stevie. He was in our school to teach us all about Fire Safety.

He introduced us to lots of different characters. Some bad and some good. Two of the bad characters were called scratch and flint they were matches and a lighter. One of the good characters was called Beep, he was a smoke alarm.

Stevie told us to check our homes for dangers. We all need to learn our address and phone number in case we ever need to call the Fire Brigade.

He told us about chargers, we shouldn’t charge our technology over night. We also need to be careful to use the right type of extension lead if we are using lots of plugs. You should also be very careful with candles in the home.

At the end we asked him lots of questions and he gave us activity packs to keep. It was a very fun visit.
