Bethlehem the Musical

11 Dec 2019

On Wednesday 11th December we performed our Christmas show for our mums and dads and family.  We had been rehearsing for weeks and we had put a lot of hard work in to the show.  Our show was called ‘Bethlehem the Musical’ and it told the story of how baby Jesus was born.  I (Aoife) was Ben the Musician and I entertained everybody on their way to Bethlehem with lots of singing  and I (Eimear) was an innkeeper and I was trying to make some money from the people visiting Bethlehem.  Niamh Smith was the chairperson, Naoisha was Mary and Caitlin was a bread seller. We also had shepherds, angels, stars, soldiers, a posh lady and a posh man.   We all had really important roles to play to make our show work.  We had lots of songs and dance routines to learn but our favourite one was ‘Hospitality’ because it gets faster and faster and that meant we had to dance faster and faster and it was really good fun to learn.  Our family all said that we were amazing and our teachers were so proud of us.
