First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion for our P4 pupils was celebrated on the 27th May 2023.  We were all so excited.  For weeks before the big day we were practising.  The day finally arrived, the girls all looked so beautiful in their white dresses and the boys all looked so handsome in their suits.  Mrs McLaughlin said she almost didn’t recognise us!  

The whole ceremony was perfect; the readers read really well and we all sang beautifully, Mrs Brookman was very impressed.  After the ceremony, we all got a photograph taken on the altar.  Then we all headed down to school for a little party.  We had scones, buns, crisps, sweets and juice. It was lovely.  Then we had to say goodbye and we all went home and had more parties.  Some people went to restaurants and some people had a party at home with bouncy castles.  The weather was so good.  We all had a great day.
