Junior Entrepreneur Showcase

Year 7 were invited to attend the Junior Entrepreneur Project Showcase in Dublin today. Our school was one of 120 schools invited to attend out of a total of 480 schools who entered the competition. Girls Netball

The P5, P6 and P7 netballers took part in a tournament today in Magherafelt. Playing in Meadowbank Sports Arena in 31 degree temperatures and in 5 matches each! Boys Gaelic Success

A massive well done to all our P7 and P6 boys who won the Large Schools League Tournament yesterday. Playing in blistering heat and winning every match. Their team work was simply impressive and helped them secure the winning place. A huge thank you to Eoghan Doherty for his coaching and continued support of the boys Gaelic in school. First Holy Communion

On Saturday the 2nd of June all of the primary four pupils made the sacrament of Holy Communion.  The ceremony was beautiful along with the singing of the school choir. John McAtamney a primary 7 pupil was nominated to take part in the half time GAA game along with other children in the Antrim area against children from Down. John played defence and they won by 2 points. Here we see John with the programme with his name printed inside as a souvenir and he received a medal to remember his experience that day....

Primary Seven pupils have taken the young pioneers pledge to obstain from alcohol until the age of 18 and also obstain from illegal drugs for life. The children were presented with the pins in St. Mary’s Church by Sister Margaret and Seamus McDonnell. ...

Confirmation

Our Year 7 pupils were confirmed today by Bishop Noel Treanor in St. Mary’s Church Portglenone. This was the first Confirmation to take place since the refurbishment of the church and what a beautiful ceremony it was. Congratulations to all our pupils on this special day. ...

Sports Day

Wednesday the 23rd was the whole school sports day. The weather was beautiful and it was a fun filled day. The PTA also held a tuck shop for the kids to grab some tasty treats.
